Keys to detect them
Be suspicious if you detect any of the following factors:
1. It asks you for your cell phone or e-mail as the first contact option
In Wallapop we work so that your transactions are 100% safe. For this we need you to always make them within our platform, we can not protect you in channels outside Wallapop!
2. It sends you a link by WhatsApp or e-mail simulating the purchase
Example:
Wallapop will NEVER communicate with you via text message or phone call (WhatsApp or SMS).
3. It sends you a link impersonating Wallapop's website

4. It asks you for your bank card details or that you make the purchase outside Wallapop
Wallapop shipping allows you to pay for your purchases and collect your sales securely without leaving Wallapop. To successfully complete a transaction, you do not need to use other channels. Wallapop will never ask for your login or credit card information outside the platform. Also remember that as a seller you will NEVER have to give or confirm your personal data to the buyer.
5. It is impersonated by Wallapop through chat or email.

6. It impersonates your bank.
Scammers may contact your phone number asking to confirm a transaction in your bank account application. Remember that Wallapop will never call you or contact you by phone. If you think they are impersonating your bank, we recommend that you block the card and contact your bank immediately.
