A review on Wallapop is the rating you give a user based on your experience buying or selling a product or service from them. Reviews help make our community a safe and fair place while building trust between users. To see a user’s reviews and star ratings, go to their profile and select Reviews.
We recommend reading the following information before leaving a review:
What is not allowed?
We do not check reviews before they are published. However, we reserve the right to remove them, in whole or in part, if they violate our Community Guidelines or Terms and Conditions.
For example, reviews must not:
Be unrelated to a real transaction, be self-ratings, or be posted in exchange for any benefit.
Be unrelated to the transaction being rated. For example, comments about Wallapop’s service rather than the other person.
Contain insults.
Contain content that violates another person’s or entity’s rights, including privacy rights. For example, publishing another person’s full name, address, bank details, or other identifying information.
Contain hate speech or discriminatory content directed at other people, including, among other things, content targeting their race, ethnicity, nationality, disability, religious affiliation, sexual orientation, sex, gender identity, or serious illnesses.
Include threats of violence, physical harm, or harm to life, as well as threats to damage property.
Promote sexual exploitation, pornography, sexually explicit or implicit language, or any other similar content.
Contain any other illegal content.
If you receive a review you disagree with
As a general rule, and to maintain trust and transparency on the platform, we keep user reviews published. We cannot determine whether the content of a review is truthful or whether an experience was fair, so we do not remove reviews and ratings simply because you disagree with them. Any rating, including a negative one, that describes an experience following a legitimate purchase will remain published.
You cannot edit or delete a rating that someone else has left about you, but you can:
Ask the other person to edit it. They have 30 days from the date it was published to do so.
Report it. If you believe the review violates our Community Guidelines, you can report the user through the app or contact us using the form at the end of this article.
When we assess reviews
We assess reviews when they are reported or when our systems detect signs of misuse of the feature.
If a review violates our policies or applicable law, we may remove it, in whole or in part. If the violation is serious or repeated, we may take action against the account.
Editing or deleting a review you left
You can edit a review you left within 30 days of posting it by selecting Edit next to the review.
If you cannot edit it from your version of the app, contact us and we can do it for you. We will need the username or listing title of the person you rated, the new text (maximum 150 characters), and the number of stars.
Once published, a rating cannot be deleted.
When you can leave a review
There are two processes depending on how the transaction was completed.
Transaction through Wallapop (Wallapop Shipping or in-person payment through Wallapop). When the buyer selects Everything OK, or the 48-hour period to review the product expires, the option to rate appears in the chat for both users.
Transaction outside Wallapop. When the seller marks the product as sold and selects who they sold it to, they can leave a rating. The buyer will then receive an invitation in the platform chat to rate the seller.
In both cases, each rating is recorded individually and is visible to other users, even if the other person does not complete their rating.
If there is an open dispute, it must be resolved before a rating can be left.
Remember that if you delete the chat with the user before leaving a rating or dismiss the option to rate, you will not be able to leave a rating later. We recommend rating all your transactions, as this helps make the community more reliable.
How to find the reviews that matter to you
On each user’s profile, you can filter and sort ratings:
By role: seller or buyer.
By delivery method: Wallapop Shipping or in person.
-
By preference:
Relevance: our algorithm shows the most complete and useful reviews first.
Date: to see the user’s most recent reviews.
Rating: to filter by the best or worst experiences reported by other users.
