Wallapop is used by millions of people every day, and we have a very safe and secure system for managing payments.
The first time you use Wallapop, you’re asked to set up your bank details. You can change your bank details at any time, by going to the ‘Wallet’ section in the Wallapop app.
Important: Wallapop will never message or email you asking for your bank details. Scammers sometimes send fake messages to trick you into giving financial information, so they can steal from you.
Receiving money
When you make a sale, the buyer can pay you directly through Wallapop. The money is transferred from the buyer’s bank to your Wallapop Wallet. You can then either transfer the money to your bank account, or leave the money in the Wallet and use it the next time you buy something on Wallapop.
Even if you’re meeting with the buyer face to face, they can still pay you via Wallapop. This is the safest way for you to receive money - safer than cash or Bizum. The reason it’s safer is because if the buyer pays via Wallapop, there’s no risk of them not paying you when you meet.
Paying money
When you buy an item on Wallapop, you can pay directly through the app. You can pay by bank card., Google Pay, Apple Pay, PayPal, Klarna, or with any credit in your Wallapop Wallet.
Paying through the app is the safest way to pay, even if you’re meeting in-person. If you pay through the app, the seller won’t receive the money until you confirm everything is ok with your item.
